Miracles!!!

Hey yall!

I hope everyone had a good week! Saturday we went over to our bishop's house for asado! It was basically a huge barbeque. It was a perfect Saturday activity just missing the college football. Also, this week sounded like a crazy week of football!

This week we saw so many miracles! Here are some of them: (sorry if this is long, there were so many)

-On Monday night I went to Brazil for exchanges. Normally, the STLs come to our area because they speak Portuguese in Brazil, but I got permission to go! On the way there my companion, Hermana Maxwell, left her phone in the taxi. People were telling us there was no way we would get it back. We went the day without a phone, but then while our companions were on their way to come pick us up their taxi driver got a text that the taxi company had the phone! (but kind of sad because I don't have any pictures from Brazil)

-Hermana Maxwell has not been in Brazil long and I don't know any Portuguese, so we were a little worried. The Lord helped us and people understood what we were saying! I also learned how to pray and read in portuguese!

-Juan accepted the invite to be baptized! He didn't come to church this week, so we will have to move his baptism date.

-We met an inactive lady this week and she is the best. We stressed how the gospel blesses families and she invited some of her kids to the second lesson. She came to church this week and said her family will come next week!

-We have been teaching a lady named Ana Maria for a few weeks. She is very well educated and when we first met her she said she is not religious, but that we could visit her. She told us that it would be a long process for her to come to church. However, this week when we asked her to come to church she told us that she had been talking to her "mormon friend." She told us that her friend was making her come to church and that they would walk to church together. She showed up at church with her friend Sunday and liked it!

-We found another Juan last Sunday while street contacting and he came to church Sunday! We've only met with him twice but he loves the church!

-A 16 year old girl named Belen came up to us while we were knocking doors and told us she wants to meet with us. She explained that her grandma is a member and she used to go to church when she was little.

-While we were knocking doors last night we found a lady that used to meet with the Elders. Her mom passed away 3 months ago and is looking for hope in her life. We are super excited to meet with her again this week and she is going to invite her family!

-We found a mexican restaurant this week and went with the other hermanas in our chapel. It had been way too long without mexican food!

God is a God of miracles! If we have faith, we can see miracles everyday. I love this scripture, "For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith." I know that God has blessed me so much. I am so grateful for the miracles  I am seeing here in Uruguay!

Have a great week!
