Colonia!

Hey yall!

This week we had transfers and I left Montevideo and moved to Colonia! It is super different here and has been a little hard to adapt. Montevideo is very similar to the US and now I'm back in the campo. However, Colonia is a cute little beach town. My comp is from Chile and is super nice! We also live in the only house of 4 in the mission. I get to live with some of my favorite people hermana Fowler (from my first zone) and hermana Norris (from Alabama). We are over two branches here, the one I went to on Sunday had 12 people that were all over the age of 70. It is very different and is going to be hard, but I'm ready to get to work.

This week was super hard as I had to leave Montevideo. I grew to love that place and the people so much. But the hardest thing was saying goodbye to Beatriz, Linda, and Valentino. They are my favorite people. I was dreading the last lesson with them and as soon as we walked in Beatriz started tearing up. Then, we shared a message, took pictures, and started crying together. They have taught me so much and have helped me feel God's love. Also, this week we found out that Beatriz can probably be baptized within the next two weeks and Valentino said he is going to start coming to church every other week! This made my heart so happy. They have made so many changes in their lives so that their family can find joy through Jesus. They are the best!

Something I have been trying to focus on this week is living in the present. I love the quote, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." As I have had to move away from an area I loved I have been trying not to dwell on the past. I'm trying to look forward to the future with faith. I know God has a plan and is preparing people here in Colonia to hear the gospel.

Have a great week!
