Hey y'all!
I hope y'all have had a good week! I am going to highlight some of my favorite things from this week:
- We got to watch all four sessions of General Conference in english with the other 6 hermanas in our chapel!
- During General Conference we had a fiesta for Hermana
Payne because it was her birthday. I attempted to make a dessert that a
member made for us. We needed to buy polvo de cacao which is chocolate powder.
However, when I went into the store I accidentally asked for polvo de
caca which is poop powder. After the words came out of my mouth, I
immediately knew what I had said by the look on the workers face. My
companion and I started dying laughing. Whoops...
- A member in our ward gave us a referral and her friend is so interested in the gospel. She came to the church to watch conference on Saturday!
- On Thursday, we decided to stop by Lemon to talk to the
worker we met last pday while shopping. We had a good conversation with her and
found out she doesn't have much of a religious background but wanted a
Bible and Book of Mormon. Later that day we stopped by again to give her both!
She has so many questions so we have been going to visit her a lot . We have
become good friends with her! She is probably in her 20s and is so cool! The
sad part is she leaves for vacation this Friday and will be gone for 10
days.
- We had a couple lessons with Juan this week. He is so
funny and doesn't show much emotion, but I think we are going to invite
him to be baptized this week!
- Almost everyday this week, we looked at our schedule
thinking the day was going to be crazy and then all of our lessons cancelled.
It has given us more time to find new people, which is the best!
That pretty much sums up my week. I loved Elder Olsen's talk at General Conference, he used to be a mission president in Uruguay! He talked about how Jesus is always the answer. No matter what trials you are facing, Jesus is always there and is ALWAYS the answer. The Savior loves you and He will help you!
Love y'all,
Hermana Neuberger
