Día de la Independencia

 Hey y'all!

On Thursday this week it was Uruguay's independence day! Everyone was busy celebrating so it was hard to meet with people. There was a huge parade and during our lunch time we went to the main town plaza and saw the end of it. It was basically just a bunch of cowboys riding their horses down the street. It made me feel at home, yeehaw! There was also so much good food, it felt like July 4th!

The highlight of my week was Sandra! We had 2 lessons with her this week and she is the best! We invited her to be baptized and she accepted. When we asked her about a date/goal for baptism she said, "tomorrow?" On Saturday we had another lesson with her and when we asked her about her Book of Mormon reading she kissed it and said, "I love this book." She is so ready for baptism. She loves the gospel and is willing to change in order to take this next step in her life.

On Saturday we had a lady in our ward tutoring us in Spanish. It was helpful for pronunciation and she said we can meet every week, so I'm excited for that!

This week we tried lots of new ideas for finding. (Shoutout to the best siblings for the ideas!) We went to the park and talked to people, had a sports night, printed a map of our area to mark the doors we knock, and showed a video during street contacting. Go watch it, Because of Him.

The video is so powerful and everyone that watched it felt the spirit. Jesus lives, He suffered for us so that we can have joy in this life. He loves y'all! Have a great week!

Love y'all!
